Story
After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, a.k.a. The Penguin, tries to take control of Gotham’s underworld. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Penguin in Batman (2022) to smoke tobacco, but failed.

But after episode 1, I can confirm that this series is fantastic (so far)
I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I never understood why you’d put a lean, good-looking, toned actor in giant prosthetics and a fat suit… especially since I think he looks like other famous actors like , which would be just as good. I also didn’t understand why this spinoff came about, and frankly, I’m just sick of Batman reboots. I only watched it because I knew it was supposed to be seen as a bridge between the first and second films, and because I surprisingly liked Farrell in the role in the first.
But I didn’t expect to like her nearly as much
The acting is great, the script is excellent and I was surprised with some quick twists. What I liked most was that there was a lot more color here than in Batman. I noticed it almost immediately, as it was a major complaint about the film for me (I felt like I was seeing it through Zack Snyder’s lens). I hope it continues well because I really can’t wait for the next episode.
