Story
Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud invites Professor C.S. Lewis to discuss the existence of God, Freud’s unique relationship with his daughter, and Lewis. unconventional relationship with the best friend’s mother. Lewis in Shadow of the Earth (1993) 30 years before this film. Lewis is studying the gospels when a woman who looks like his wife calls him into bed.

This film is set in 1939, but Lewis was married to Joy Davidman Gresham until 1956. That woman was actually Janie Moore, with whom Lewis lived until 1949. [last lines] Sigmund Freud: From error to error is the whole truth discovered. .. April 19 series (2024).

Now last week I was pleasantly surprised by the movie “La fille de nulle part”; French director Jean-Claude Brisseau. I was particularly impressed by the depth of the dialogue, and I realized that this was not at all what I was used to: a director who assumes that his audience has already read the book. More and more, movies seem to be getting to be the dumbest of them all; everything needs to be spoon-fed and explained. Freud’s Last Session could have been a great opportunity to create a film that would engage you intellectually and keep you intellectually engaged.
Why is there no character development?
Why isn’t the father-daughter relationship explored more deeply? Why is there no real dialogue between Freud and the professor? Why don’t we get real insight into the psychology of the three main characters? It’s about Freud, for God’s sake' in my name! He is the founder of psychoanalysis!
It’s like making a cowboy movie without the cowboys
The simplicity of the construction completely detracts from the theme.
